Autobike

Here is a couple pictures of the motorcycle, Konglish = Autobike.

Oh yeah, here are our gay ass helmets.

Illegal

So, I have been riding my motorcycle around for about two months, with no license plate or Korean drivers license. I only had one run in with the cops and he saw that I wasn't Korean and instantly let me go. I don't think the cop I witnessed patrolling traffic last night would have done the same.

This cop was so proud of being a cop, just like those people at your job that have a false sense of power when they tell you what to do. This guy had the stance and the attitude of a man who is very satisfied with himself. Very good posture with a wide stance, sharp movements with sternness all over his face. The reason he was so impressive, was that he was pulling over speeding vehicles while he was on foot. I guess you had to see it.

On the roads they set up random road blocks, I assume to check for drunk drivers.
Anyhow, I am getting my license and license plate this week.

A week ago, I ate the most pork any human has eaten in one day. I feel a little disgusted, but mostly proud.

WORDING

Here are a couple of things that have an unusual grammar structure.

The orange juice had this written on it to ensure the quality

They needed to fix the air conditioner at my ENGLISH school, so they put up this warning on every a/c control panel.

Any time you want to leave the subway you have this description of leaving.

Blender

This doesn't pertain to Korea, but I saw this blender turn marbles into glass dust on Willitblend.com. I was curious, so I went to the web site of the blender's manufacturer. You have to check out the demonstrations. I love this guy, he is sooooo awkward it is hard to watch. I also love how he tells you that he had made a joke before you realize he is even telling a joke. It is priceless. If you have some spare time, check it out.

THe MounTain

We climbed the Tallest mountain in Seoul two weekends ago. My calf's hurt the whole week. We drank SoJu at the top and stumbled our way down. Then we got lost in the city on the bike for four fucking hours. We were tired, cold, and frustrated. I somehow got onto the expressway, just like Texas, some roads just turn into the expressway without warning.

Yes, we had a map, for all the smart asses who will email me that question. I can't talk about this anymore, it's too painful.

Motel

We stayed at a love motel when we got here. We felt at home when we saw this on the bathroom door. Sarongs are fun!

Kindy

These are my Kindergarten students, I love and hate them at the same time. They are quiet familiar with the smell of cigarettes and cheap booze.
I have two different Kindergarten classes, and eight more classes that are from first grade to eighth grade. A teacher pulled a disappearing act a last week, I have to take two of his classes for a month. We don't get another teacher until the end of November, it fucking sucks. I thought we worked long hours already. We are thinking of changing schools.

REALLY?

My kindergarten students like to give gifts randomly to their teachers. I received this gem in disbelief. Apparently, it is a children's character here, the character has it own line of candy. What the Fuck?

KOREAN FRIEND

We made our first Korean friend a couple weeks back. His name is Yung Jin, but we call him Jay. For the last couple of weeks we have hung out with him, we have became family. The protocol changes at this point, as well as speech. I now call him Hueng, which means older brother. Certain formal customs, especially at dinner time, are dropped. I can eat with my hands, feed him food like you would to your girlfriend, and holding hands is customary with men. I only held his hand one night, the sex came later. We met him at a billiards hall, he showed us a Korean version of pool. Our relationship blossomed when he locked us in the pool hall until six in the morning (drinking SoJu and having choppy English conversations). I am his first American friend, there are not a lot of whiteys around these parts.
